Lakeview is trashed. This picture is on Fleur De Lis opposite a friend's house.

That about says that. This sign is right behind the smashed up truck, you can see it in the other picture if you look closely.
This flier was handed out to us by some National Guardsmen when we were in New Orleans the Tuesday before Rita came. Thank God they weren't right about the other hurricane behind Rita.
Ok, I confess I stole these two helicopter pictures from corknola.com, another good mid-city blog, but they are about 1 mile from the mid city house, so freak me out. One should not have downed military helicopters in one's neighborhood. Just not couth.
You can see the helicopter and American Can Company right behind it on Bayou St. John. This is all right next to Mercy Hospital.
